Ocean Sushi, the recently opened restaurant in Winona, Minn,  seems to be off to a fast start The customer base is varied, there are young and old,  American and foreign. The diversity of the crowd is one of the restaurants strengths

While dining there, we decided to try two different fdishes, the Sweet Potato Roll and the Rocking Shrimp with tangy sauce. Even though it is marketed as a sushi restaurant, there is a large menu with many seafood options.

The sweet potato roll had a great crunch to it while maintaining a sweet flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The rocking shrimp were deep fried with a crisp breading and served with a tangy and spicy sauce. Alone, the shrimp tasted a bit oily, but with the sauce they had a bit of a kick.

We gave the sweet potato roll a 9/10 for flavor. The rocking shrimp got a 9/10 also for a bit of bite. The service overall was very fast and had polite waitstaff. The whole restaurant had a nice ambiance.

From their wide selection on the menu to great food, Ocean Sushi provides a pleasant experience for the adventurous diner.
