After a disappointing start to the season, Cotter Volleyball got  back on track with a win against the Rushford-Peterson before a strong crowd at home on senior night, Tuesday, October 10.

The teams five seniors, Mallory Cunningham, Mari Crowely, Nicole Duellman, Sydney Fliehr, and Aspen Jerowski were excited heading into their final home regular season match.

“We are ready to beat the Trojans.,” Duellman said.

With the victory, the team is currently sitting at 7-9 (5-7 conference)

“Our record doesn’t show what we can accomplish as a team,” senior libero Mari Crowley said.

This  team has had a lot of good times this year. Senior Aspen Jerowski said that her favorite moment this year “was when Izzy got beaned in the face from a spike.”

“The season thus far has gone really fast! We have had some great matches and a few tough losses by a small margin of points,” Coach Laurie Broghammer said.

With playoffs soon approaching the Ramblers still have things that they can improve on.

“We need to keep improving on our unforced errors and serving tough. I think if we take care of the ball and have each other’s backs on the court, we could surprise a few teams,” Broghammer said.
