This is Karen. She is in her first year of exchange in the United States, where she is studying high school at Cotter. During this time, she plans to make the most of the experience, and when she returns to Brazil, she already has plans to enter medical school in São Paulo. Her choice of career comes from her strong interest in Biology, which has always been her favorite subject.

Karen is a fun and friendly person to those who know her well, but she also values her quiet moments and tends to be more reserved around people she doesn’t know yet. Among her favorite hobbies are playing tennis, cooking, and watching movies and TV shows. Her favorite series is Jessie, her favorite movie is Invincible, and her favorite food is Italian cuisine.

She has already had the chance to travel to Paris, a city she truly loved, and one of her biggest dreams is to visit Greece in the future. The reason she is now in the United States began with her cousin, who also did an exchange program, seeking independence and a better knowledge of English. Inspired by that experience, Karen decided to take the same path, and she has been enjoying it a lot.

Her family lives in Brazil and is made up of her parents, who are farmers, her two younger sisters, and a dog. Even while being far from home, she carries with her the values and memories of her family, living through this phase of discoveries and personal growth that will surely leave a lasting mark on her life.
