Girls tennis hitting hard

Choco Li is a part of the girls tennis team year and is currently a senior at Cotter Schools.

“Key players, such as Kylie Modejeski had finished her career at Cotter. Lots of new players have joined the team this year including international students and  many 7th graders,” Li said.

“My expectations are that everyone will improve, have fun, and that she is excited for a new season.”

The team’s  goal “is to stay focused and get as many wins as possible.”

Viva Graff is a junior on the varsity team. Viva’s expectations include being able to improve without four time State qualifier Cindy Li on the team. As the season progresses Viva’s personal goal is to become better as a player and as a team she believes everyone should continue to grow.

The coach of the girls tennis Anne Besek   Besek has been coaching the girls tennis team for two years and previously had been assistant coach for the boys tennis team.

The teams record this year is 8-10 Besek says she is “very excited to watch the girls improve”.

The girls will be starting tournament play soonl
