When Covid-19 delayed the volleyball season Abree Dieterman and Alison French switched nets and decided to give tennis a try.

¨The tennis season is going much much better than I anticipated when I first decided to join. First of all, I did not expect to be on the varsity team, and I also did not expect to be as comfortable playing as I am. The entire team is so incredibly supportive that I don’t feel very bad if I make a mistake or anything like that; they encourage me to keep trying and to keep my head up, which is something I really appreciate,¨ Dieterman said.

When the pair moved into the #1 doubles spot their excitement grew.

¨We knew it was going to be a challenge but we have been giving it our all. I have been enjoying tennis very much and can’t wait for the rest of the season. We are both excited that we have won two matches against teams who have been playing since 7th or 8th grade which makes this experience so much more exciting,¨ French said.
