Cotter student Freya Brandvik waits in line at Winona Health to receive the Covid-19 vaccine

Starting on March 30, all Minnesotans 16 years of age or older became eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, adding 1.2 million people to the previous number of candidates. While the Pfizer vaccine is available to people 16 or 17 years old, the Moderna vaccine is still only available to those 18 or older. The Winona Health Parkview Office Building is being used as a vaccination clinic, and has currently distributed over 7,20o shots.  The East End Recreation Center is also being used as a vaccination site.
