Memorial garden in bloom

As Memorial Day appraoches, it is a great time to walk through Cotter’s memorial garden and arboretum.  This is the space located on the west side of the St. Teresa and St. Cecilia building between Broadway and Wabasha off of  Cummings St.  There is a gazebo that was constructed as part of an Eagle scout project by Cotter alum Ben DeMarais.   A number of trees are dedicated to Ramblers who are no longer with us, but their memories are still in bloom.  Here are some of the trees and dedications:

The tree is dedicated to Jason Roffler, Cotter class of 1995

This tree is dedicated to Chad Ayotte, class of 2009, a chair was placed for Chad at the graduation ceremony of his class

This tree dedicated to the memory of Jeff Hunt, class of 1985, from his family and six nieces who are also Cotter graduates

This tree is dedicated to the memory of Sarah Frisby of the class of 1998. Sarah’s mom, Sally was a long time Cotter teacher and her father Don, also spent time teaching and reviving a chess team at Cotter.

At their 20th class reunion the class of 1982 dedicated this tree to their classmates who have passed on including Steve Freund, June Redig,, Sue Beranek Severson, Rhonda Sommers, and Jon Wachowiak,
