Colin Cada

You may know him as Conrad Birdie or other varying roles, but behind the scenes, he’s Colin Cada. Cotters triple threat, singer, actor, and dancer, has been involved in every music and theatre program at Cotter. However, his talents go beyond the Cotter walls. When interviewing Colin on his past accomplishments, he said he was most fulfilled by his role in last year's Great River Shakespeare Festival. “There were many rehearsals, 12 hours a day, but it never got boring or felt like work,” Colin said. His biggest takeaway from the GRSF was the wide range of culture, backgrounds, and stories, from professional actors. He loved the experience because he learned a lot and got a taste for what he wants to study in college. When approaching college auditions, what puts Colin aside from others is his ability to work at all aspects; dancing, singing, and acting. From performing in Saint Stan's choir concerts, to his first show at Home and Community Options; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, to playing a role in Shakespere, Colin’s parents have always been there to push him, provide him with the tools he needs, and support him in all of his efforts. Colin can't imagine his life without being involved in theatre and music. He continues to perform because he loves the feeling of accomplishment when walking off the stage after a good performance and seeing the growth and development of each show. Keep your eye out for the rising theatre star; Colin Cada is off to big things.
