The Coalition for the Protection of Student Rights, or CPSR, was founded in 2021 by Cotter senior John Littrell in light of the policies regarding gender and sexuality added to the Cotter handbook at the beginning of the year at the request of the Dioceses.

According to their mission statement, “The purpose of the CPSR is to root out and oppose any and all instances of discrimination and wrongful punishment against anyone. We wish to help everyone to the best of our ability to make our schools and our community a safe place for all, no matter who they are. We are here to help.”

“I created this group with the hope of helping people,” said Littrell. “I was worried that no one would take this seriously, but a lot of great people have already done a lot for everyone.”

Those interested in joining the CPSR should speak to John Littrell or another member.
