Starting during Thanksgiving break, dorm students have been gathering in the  lounge to play Mahjong after dinner.  Mahjong is a popular game in China, it can be played for money or, as in the case of Cotter kids,  just for fun.  It uses 144 tiles and has some similarities to the card games rummy or bridge.
