Spiten and Palubicki honored at Senior Night

The Girls Varsity Basketball regular season  came  to an end, but not without a celebration.

The girls celebrated senior night on Friday, February  while hosting the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs to finish their regular season.

These two seniors have done great things for the team on and off the court. Spiten has been in  the starting lineup for most of the past two seasons, offering steady rebounding and toughness on the floor.

This was Keelyn’s first season on the varsity squad. She is a great motivator for the team and offers great team spirit.

“It’s been a great season with a great group of girls. I couldn’t have asked for a better year and better teammates. I’m so thankful for all the opportunities I have been given and for Mr. Bowlin and everything he has done to make me a better basketball player.” Spiten said.

Keelyn added “It was a great season and lots of memories. I had a ton of fun with these girls and I’m glad to finish my career with these girls.”

Coach Bowlin had this to say about his two seniors “Hannah has been a key player for us as she is our second leading scorer and team leader. Hannah has the important quality of being a player everyone likes but more importantly respects. Keelyn has been a great teammate and works hard in practice.

“They both put the team first on the court and care about us,” added a teammate.

The Ramblers (14-12) headed into their final home game with a two game win streak on the line against P-E-M Bulldogs. Things didn’t seem to go their way and they fell to the Bulldogs 52-40.

The Ramblers are heading into their first week of playoffs matched up with the fifth seeded Lake City Tigers. Ramblers have yet to match up with Tigers this season so the Ramblers will have to rely on their senior leaders to guide the young team to victory.
